Western pine or Espanyol pine ( Latin Pinus occidentalis ), ( Spanish pino criollo ) - a species of coniferous trees of the genus Pine . The view is close to the Cuban pine .

Distribution and Ecology
The endemic of the island of Haiti , where it grows mainly in mountain forests at an altitude of 800 m and above. Occasionally found in lowlands.
Botanical Description
Evergreen tree with a height of 15 m to 30 m.
The needles are dark green, in bundles of 3, 4, 5 needles, 11-20 cm long.
Cones are oblong, brilliantly brown. The length of the cones is 5-8 cm. Seeds 4-5 mm long, with a wing of 15 mm.
