Kundulun is a village in the Alar district of the Irkutsk region of Russia . It is part of the municipality Nelhai .

Geography

Located about 21 km southeast of the district center.

Consists of 1st street (Ozernaya).

Name Origin

The name comes from the Buryat khndalen - "transverse" (transverse valley) ^[2] .

History

In 1874, the Kundulunsky ulus, the population was 20 inhabitants. By 1880, the permanent population of the ulus increased to 118 people ^[3] ..

Famous People

Trubacheyev was born in the village , Vasily Ilyich (1895-1938) was a Russian Buryat revolutionary, a fighter for the establishment of Soviet power in Eastern Siberia , a party leader in the Buryat-Mongolian regional committee of the CPSU (b) ^[6] .
