History
The farm belonged to the yurt of the village of Skurishenskaya in the Ust-Medveditsky District of the Don Don Army Region. According to the information posted on the website of the city district, the town of Mikhailovka Khutor was founded at the beginning of the 18th century [2] (However, according to the 1859 information, the farm does not appear in the List of populated areas of the Earth [3] ). According to the List of Populated Areas of the Region, the Don Army according to the 1873 census, 150 men and 146 women lived on the farm [4] . According to the 1897 census , 237 men and 203 women lived on the farm, of whom literate: 102 men and 8 women [5] .
According to the alphabetical list of the populated areas of the Donskoy Troop Region of 1915, the farm had a farm board, a literacy school, a land allotment of 1800 acres, 272 men and 264 women lived [6] .
In 1928, the farm was included in the Mikhailovsky district of the Khopersky okrug (the okrug was abolished in 1930) of the Lower Volga Territory (since 1934 - the Stalingrad Territory ). In 1935, the Kalininsky district was formed as part of the region, the Katasonovsky village council was transferred to it [7] (since 1936 the district has been part of the Stalingrad region). In accordance with the decree of the Presidium of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee of July 5, 1937, the Katasonovsky Village Council was transferred to the Mikhailovsky District [8] [9] .
In 2012, the farm was included in the urban district of the city of Mikhailovka [10]
Geography
The farm is located in the steppe, within the Khopersko-Buzuluk plain , on the left side of the Kobylinka beam ( Medveditsa river basin). The height of the center of the village is about 150 meters above sea level. The terrain is hilly and flat. In the Kobylinka beam - Novy pond. In the south it borders with the Prudka farm [11] . The soils are southern chernozems [12] .
There is a 7-km drive to the farm from the Caspian Federal Highway. By road, the distance to the administrative center of the urban district of the city of Mikhailovka is 18 km, to the regional center of the city of Volgograd - 200 km [13] .
- Climate
The climate is temperate continental (according to the Köppen - Dfa climate classification ). The long-term rainfall is 430 mm. The greatest amount of precipitation falls in June - 50 mm, the least in February and March - 23 mm each. The average annual temperature is + 6.8 ° С, the average temperature of the coldest month of January is −9.1 ° С, the hottest month of July +22.0 ° С [14]
