Selia ( Latvian: Sēlija ) is a settlement in the Salsky region of Latvia . The administrative center of Selpils parish . Located on the P76 highway ( Aizkraukle - Jekabpils ). The distance to Jekabpils is about 18 km [1] . According to data for 2015, 181 people lived in the village [2] .

History
In Soviet times, the settlement was called Selpils and was the center of the Selpils village council of Jekabpils district . The central estate of the Seliya collective farm was located in the village [1] .
