Biography
Born in 1924 in the village of Kopanets , now Alekseevsky district of the Belgorod region . Russian [1] .
Before the start of World War II, the family moved to the Georgian SSR and settled in the Maharadzsvsky district (now the Ozurgeti municipality of Georgia), where Maria continued her studies at school and, in her free time, helped her parents work on tea plantations of the Nasakiral State Farm [1] .
With the outbreak of war, she went to work on a state farm, worked all day in the tea plantation: she applied fertilizers, weighed the aisles, formed tea bushes, and gathered tons of tea leaf [1] . For high performance in socialist competition during the days of the Great Patriotic War, she was repeatedly awarded letters of honor. She was awarded the medal "For Valiant Labor in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945."
According to the results of work in 1947, she was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor .
In 1950, she achieved a record harvest of varietal green tea leaf - 6371 kilograms on an area of 0.5 hectares [1] .
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of September 1, 1951, for receiving high yields of varietal green tea leaves in 1950, Ivakhnova Maria Timofeevna was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Hammer and Sickle Medal.
In 1953, the family moved to the Adygea Autonomous Region of the Krasnodar Territory (now the Republic of Adygea), and Maria Timofeevna began working as a senior poultry in the third branch of the Maikop vegetable and dairy state farm No. 10 (the central estate is the village of Sovkhozny, now ZAO Rainbow), where caring for 5 thousand laying hens, annually received from them 150-160 eggs.
She was elected as a deputy of the Melidur Council of Deputies of Workers of the Georgian SSR, a member of the Adygea Regional and Maykop District Committee of the CPSU (party member since 1952).
She lived in the village of State Farm Maikop district [1] .
