Ratomir Dugonich ( Bosnian Ratomir Dugonjić , January 10, 1916 , Trebinje , Austria-Hungary - June 27, 1987 , Sarajevo , SRBG , Yugoslavia ) - a Yugoslav Bosnian statesman, lawyer, member of the national liberation movement, chairman of the People’s Assembly (1963-1967) and Chairman of the Presidium of Bosnia and Herzegovina (1974-1978).

The early years
He graduated from elementary school in his hometown, graduated from high school in Sarajevo , then studied law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Belgrade in . In high school he became interested in revolutionary ideas, and during his studies in Belgrade he became one of the most active members of the revolutionary student movement, which was influenced by the illegal Union of Communists of Yugoslavia , and in 1937 he was accepted into the ranks of this union. Political career
As a member of the party, he took an active part in political activities and organizational reform of the Union of Communist Youth of Yugoslavia together with Ivo Ribar during the January 6 dictatorship . Dugonich was actively involved in football and played for the Slavia (Sarajevo) and Saxony clubs, so he traveled a lot in major cities such as Belgrade, Split , Ljubljana , Zagreb , Osijek and Skopje using these trips to transport illegal party materials , his contacts were Ivan Milutinovich in Zagreb and Svetozar Vukmanovich in Belgrade. In 1939, the youth organization of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia was created in Bosnia and Herzogovina , at the invitation of Ivo Ribar Ratomir becomes a member of this organization. His political work was noticed by the police and before the war he was arrested and spent some time in custody in Sarajevo.
At the beginning of the war he became a commissar in a partisan detachment. In 1943, after his death, Ribara became the political secretary of the central committee of the Communist Youth League, was also a member of the Anti-Fascist Council for the People's Liberation of Yugoslavia and the Land Anti-Fascist Council for the People's Liberation of Bosnia and Herzegovina .
After the war, Dugonic worked as Ambassador of Yugoslavia to the NDP and the United Arab Republic . In 1963 he became Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He died on June 27, 1987 in Sarajevo . [2]
