In TUM, he teaches schoolchildren the theater art, and plays with them. Under the direction of A.P. Ershova , the director’s daughter, V.M. Bukatov is developing a program for four-year instruction in children's theater studios (in 1987 it was recommended by the scientific and methodical cabinet of the Ministry of Culture of the RSFSR, and in 1995 by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation).

Scientific and pedagogical activity

Since the mid-70s, together with A.P. Ershova , he has been developing and promoting the use by ordinary teachers of the techniques of theatrical pedagogy in the lessons at secondary schools. Since 1980, A. P. Ershova and V. M. Bukatov joined the research group of the outstanding psychologist and teacher E. E. Shuleshko and headed the direction that became known as "socio-game pedagogy." Their articles are published in Teacher’s Newspaper and the journals Pedagogy, Knowledge is Power, Pedagogical Education, Art at School, School Psychologist, etc.). V. M. Bukatov conducts numerous seminars for school teachers and for kindergarten teachers. Supporters of the socio-gaming direction are successfully working in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Rostov Region, Karelia, Ukraine, and in Russian-language schools in Estonia and Latvia.

Since 1998, V. M. Bukatov has headed the departments “Directing the lesson” and “I am coming from the lesson” in the editorial office of the newspaper “First of September”. The materials of these departments are becoming popular among practitioners and popular among readers. Teachers find materials in them that, on the one hand, help them understand modern trends in classical didactics, and on the other, get specific tips and tricks [5] on how to revive a particular teaching methodology using game techniques and technologies.

In 2001, V. M. Bukatov defended his doctoral dissertation on the role of theater technology in the humanistic approach to didactics and subject methods of education. He teaches at a number of universities in Moscow, Krasnoyarsk, Yekaterinburg, Anapa, Nalchik, Samara and later Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. Bukatov is preparing for publication the scientific works of his teacher P. M. Ershov. The main publications were “The Art of Interpretation” in two volumes (M., 1997) and “The Hidden Logic of Passions, Feelings and Actions” (Dubna, 2009), dedicated to the detailed presentation of the “Information-Needful Concept of Man,” over the development of which P. M. Ershov worked together with the psycho-physiologist, academician P.V. Simonov , with whom he was associated with years of collaboration and friendship.

V. M. Bukatov sets out the results of his many years of research in detail and repeatedly in scientific and popular science works, in speeches at scientific and practical conferences. In Moscow, Krasnoyarsk, Petrozavodsk, Samara, Tver, Yekaterinburg, Anapa, Nalchik, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and other cities of the Russian Federation, he conducts numerous courses related to the professional training of students, with advanced training for school teachers and university teachers.

Socio-Game Pedagogy and Dramo / Hermeneutics

The use of theatrical pedagogy techniques in teaching schoolchildren in ordinary lessons and in classes at art studios is called socio-game pedagogy. Its characteristic feature is the ability to adapt and (or) select game techniques and training technologies to any of the existing methods. Game inserts, vaccinations and accents can revitalize the learning process, bring to the lesson entertaining, enthralling and reinforcing student interest moments. Many of them are based on traditional children's games - draws, snakes, hide and seek, searches (hot-cold), relay races (magic wand), sorcerers, etc.

The main characteristics of this direction are associated with pedagogical communication and the mandatory implementation of the three Golden Rules during the educational process: 1) ensuring the students' motor activity; 2) a periodic change of not only tasks, but also mise-en-scenes, tempo / rhythm, roles and behaviors; 3) performance of tasks by "small groups" of shift staff. Since the techniques of the socio-game “directing the lesson” (hyphenated is the author’s, although the term “One September” was published in one word, and with the advent of the 21st century this term began to be often printed with a slash - on the Internet all three spelling variants) led to a more emotional and deeper understanding of the material being studied, then there was a need for a methodological generalization of the interactive-educational effects of theatrically-oriented teaching technologies. This task was accomplished by the creation of dramo / hermeneutics [8] .

By combining drama (from the Greek. Δρᾶμα - action) with hermeneutics (from other Greek. Ἑρμηνευτική - “the art of interpretation”), reflecting the business aspects of the interweaving of theatrical activity with the science of the art of interpretation, understanding and interpretation, V. M. Bukatov outlined the innovative the direction in didactics associated with the interactive “here and now” - the conjugation of three areas: theatrical, hermeneutical and pedagogical skills. The interactivity enrichment of the traditional principles of classical didactics allows us to positively respond to the challenges of our time associated with the prefiguration type of knowledge exchange, when, for objective reasons, cultural exchange begins to be determined by a paradoxical vector of transmission: from children to adults.

The main ideas of dramo / hermeneutics were reflected in a practice-oriented table on the design of the game procedures for “directing the lesson,” among teachers called the dramo / hermeneutical “butterfly table” [9] .

Methodological achievements of V. M. Bukatov in children's theater and general pedagogy

In 1986, the experience of teaching children of primary school age and older adolescents was presented by V. M. Bukatov at the exposition of the Research Institute of Art Education of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences at the Exhibition of Economic Achievements of the USSR. The Union of Theater Workers (STD) in 1989 V. Bukatov was sent to the international conference “Forward to the 90s” (New York, 1989), at which he read reports on pedagogical pedagogy and on the use of theater experience in Russian pedagogy, a master class and an open lesson in a summer camp with a theater bias were held.

In 1995, the book “Directing the lesson, communication, and teacher’s behavior,” co-authored with A. P. Ershova and published by the Moscow Psychological and Social Institute, was awarded the Diploma of the II degree of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation following a competition among books on pedagogy for 1995.

The fourth edition of "Directing the lesson, communication and teacher behavior" (revised and supplemented) at the V International Competition "University Book - 2010" was awarded a diploma in the nomination "The best educational publication in pedagogical sciences."
