Competition Formula

European qualification includes 3 stages of selection. At the 1st, the national teams of the countries participating in the division of small EKB countries (SCD) participate. On the 2nd, the two best of them and all the other announced teams are connected, which are divided into 6 groups. Winners of group tournaments receive trips to the World Cup. Two more vacant tickets in the 3rd round are played by the teams that took the second places in the groups of the 2nd stage

The primary criterion in the distribution of places in groups is the total number of wins, then - the total number of points, the ratio of parties, the goal ratio, the results of personal meetings. For victories 3: 0 and 3: 1 teams get 3 points, for victories 3: 2 - 2 points, for losses 2: 3 - 1, for losses 1: 3 and 0: 3 points are not awarded.

1st group stage

The stage is also a qualifying tournament for the 2017 European Championship .
