Kalenik Timofeevich Shumara ( 1903 , the village of Obitnoe - May 5, 1973 ) - First Secretary of the Zatobolsky District Committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan, Kustanai Region, Kazakh SSR. Hero of Socialist Labor (1957).

Biography
Born in 1903 in a poor peasant family in the village of Obitnoe (today - Chernihiv district , Zaporizhzhya region of Ukraine). In 1911, his family moved to the village of Stantsionny . He served in the Red Army (1925-1927). Since 1928 - Chairman of the Station and Batman Village Councils. He participated in the Great Patriotic War. After demobilization in 1946, he returned to the Kustanai region.
Since 1946, in various party and government positions: Secretary of the Peshkovsky, Semiozerny, Uritsky district committees. Since 1951 - First Secretary of the Zatobolsky District Committee.
He led the organization of agricultural production during the development of virgin and fallow lands in Zatobolsky district. In the first year of his leadership, 250 thousand hectares were plowed in the area. By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of January 11, 1957, he was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal “ Hammer and Sickle ” [1] for particularly outstanding successes achieved in the development of virgin and fallow lands and for obtaining a high harvest.
In 1958 he retired. He died in 1973.
