The prohibition sign is a graphic symbol in the form of a red circle with a red diagonal strip inside diagonally, from the upper left to the lower right. Inside the circle, on a white background, is an image of what exactly a particular sign prohibits.
According to ISO 3864, the red area should occupy at least 35% of the total area of the mark [1] . This image is often used by private companies, for example, for advertising or promotion , and here they are free to deviate from the standards: the diagonal strip can go from the upper right to the lower left, the thickness of the circle and strip can be significantly less, the red color is brighter for attract attention.
In Unicode, this icon (⃠) is called U+20E0 . In the emoji language, the prohibition sign (🚫) is called U+1F6AB NO ENTRY SIGN [2] .
