Furniture Moscow is a Russian company, the oldest furniture manufacturer in Moscow [1] . The company's production facilities are currently located in Povarovo, Moscow Region [2] . It was founded in 1926 .

History
The company was founded in 1926 . According to the decree of the Council of Labor and Defense No. C-123ss of September 21, 1935, in order to transfer the production capacities of the People's Commissariat of Defense to defense products, a trust (glavk) was called “Soyuzmebel”. It included ten plants: No. 41 and No. 161 to No. 169. Since March 1940, Plant No. 41, having teamed up with the Moscow Glider Plant, began to produce NKL-27 boats , NKL-5 gliders , NKL-16 aerosleds and related products - sleighs for removing snow, etc. In 1938, the trust " Soyuzmebel "was liquidated, on its basis, the Glavspetsdrevprom trust was created, in which plant No. 41 was the parent, and the production base of the design bureau of the snowmobile developer worked at the plant.
In November 1941, the company was evacuated to the area of the sawmill them. S.N. Khalturina , in the village of Konovalovka, Kirov region . Of the 294 people working at the plant, 120 people left for Kirov before evacuation.
By Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of June 12, 1942, Plant No. 41 was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor for the development and production of a new type of armament for the Red Army , and a group of factory workers were awarded orders and medals of the USSR. In the old territory of Plant No. 41, the small group of 10-12 people remaining in Moscow after evacuation, headed by P. A. Kuzmin, began to make boards for the defenders of Moscow from the existing supply of materials for boards, bars and logs for dugouts. In one of the warehouses, a special closure workshop (container for ammunition) was organized. On January 14, 1942, by order of NKL No. 5 / OG, the production that remained in Moscow was renamed the Glider Plant, and on the basis of the remaining equipment, the production of planes, half-planes and snowmobiles was organized again. In 1943 it was renamed "Plant No. 42" [6] .
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated January 5, 1945, for the development and release of weapons for the Red Army, a group of factory workers No. 42 (Moscow) was awarded orders and medals.
Since 1945, plant No. 42 was transferred to the production of peaceful products: power plants, repair shops, truck cranes for loading timber.
In 1951, Plant No. 42 was transferred to the system of the Main Directorate of the Furniture Industry (Glavmebelprom) of the USSR Ministry of Paper and Woodworking and began to manufacture upholstered furniture . The number of production personnel was 307 people.
In the summer of 1955, when the objects of the first stage of the expansion of the enterprise were put into operation, Plant No. 42 received the name Moscow Furniture and Assembly Plant No. 2.
In 1959, work began on the construction of a second production building.
In 1961, MMSK-2 for the first time became a participant in the Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy of the USSR , for a set of small-sized sectional furniture K-58-103 "Moscow", the workers of the plant were awarded VDNKh medals.
In 1962, a number of plant workers were awarded orders and medals for successfully fulfilling the government’s assignment to manufacture furniture and other products for equipping the Kremlin Palace of Congresses [7] .
In 1963, an evening branch of the Moscow Mechanical and Technological College of the USSR woodworking industry was opened on the plant’s premises, in which more than 300 workers of the plant and other furniture enterprises were trained annually [8] [9] .
In 1985, by order of the Minister of the Forest, Pulp and Paper, and Woodworking Industries of the USSR of March 11, 85, the Moscow Production Furniture Association (PMO Moscow) was established. On January 30, 1992, a new era began in the life of the plant, on that day it was registered Closed Joint-Stock Company “Moscow” (CJSC “Moscow”) with the right of ownership and with the status of a legal entity. In 1998, ZAO “Moscow” was renamed into ZAO “Furniture Association“ Moscow ”. License for the company name No. 000375 of October 13, 1998 (unlimited). In 2003, the company registered a new trademark Furniture Moscow and was renamed the Mebel Moscow group of companies, which was headed by Igor Vladimirovich Siventsov, the furniture manufacturing company Mebel-M LLC became the leading one [10] .
