Biography

He played for the sports club of the Armed Forces, the city of Tyumen and the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug . Trainer - Maxim Vladimirovich Kugaevsky.

At the junior level, he was the 1996 world champion in the team race as part of the Russian team, along with Sergei Bashkirov , Andrei Yermolov and Vyacheslav Kunaev.

As part of the Russian Championship, he became the champion in the relay race in 1999, 2004 and 2006, and in the team race in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004. Repeatedly won the national championship, including twice in personal appearances - in 2003 he won bronze in the sprint, and in 2005 - silver in the pursuit. At the Russian Summer Biathlon Championship he was the champion in 1998 in the individual race, the silver medalist in 2004 in the relay.

At the 1999 Winter Universiade in Poprad, he became the champion in the individual race, won bronze in the sprint and silver in the pursuit, and also won the relay in the Russian national team. Four years later, at the Universiade 2003 in Italian Tarvisio, he became the relay champion in the Russian national team, and also won two bronze medals - in the sprint and mass start.

He took part in the 2002 European Championship , took 21st place in the sprint, 28th in the pursuit and 45th in the individual race.

Since the 2002/03 season he has participated in European Cup races. He made his debut at the stage in Windischgarsten , where he was 11th in the sprint and third in the pursuit. In the same season at the stage in Obertilliach took second place, and at the stage in Val Ridanna became the winner in the sprint. In the overall standings of the European Cup 2002/03 season, taking 18th place. He played at the European Cup until the end of the 2005/06 season.

In 2004, he won the sprint race for the prize of the governor of the Tyumen region [1] .

He completed his sports career in the second half of the 2000s.
