Lindita Halimi (Alb. Lindita Halimi, March 24, 1989, Vitina ), commonly known as Lindita, is a Kosovo singer and composer. [1] She became famous after winning the sixth edition of “Top Fest” with the song “Ëndërroja” (I dreamed of an album). [2]

In 2016, she participated in the final season of American Idol . She flew out after getting into the TOP 51, when the future finalist La'Porscha Rene deprived her of her place in the TOP 24. Lindita Halimi introduced Albania at Eurovision 2017 with the song “ Botë ”, after winning the 55th “Festivali i Köngös”. She took 14th place in the first semifinal, gaining 76 points, and did not reach the final. [3]

Early career
Lindita was born in the city of Viti in the south of the autonomous republic of Kosovo in Yugoslavia . She took part in the third season of Ethet (Albanian Idol ) and got into the TOP 10. She participated in the Top Fest twice, and in 2006 she won the competition. She released several singles, mostly ballads. In 2013 she moved to the United States . In December 2014, she returned to take part in the 53rd Festivali i Këngës , where she finished third. Two years later, she returned and won Festivali i Këngës 55 with the song “ Botë ” (Alb. World) , and received the right to represent Albania at Eurovision 2017 . In the first semi-final, she performed fourth, got 76 points, and took 14th place, which did not allow her to reach the final.
