Sandor Cjef ( Hungarian Sándor Csjef ; August 22, 1950 , Budapest - March 20, 2016 , Monorierdo ) - Hungarian boxer , representative of the welterweight and first middle weight category. He played for the Hungarian boxing team in the first half of the 1970s, European champion, winner and three-time bronze medalist of national championships. At the competition he represented the capital sports club “Uypesti”.

Biography
Born on August 22, 1950 in Budapest . He began to actively engage in boxing at the age of twelve, was trained in the capital's sports club "Uypesti" under the guidance of coaches Pal Dobronai and Ferenc Kellner.
He first made his name in the 1969 season, winning the silver medal at the Hungarian Championship in welterweight. A year later, he visited the European Junior Championships in Miskolc, from where he also brought the silver dignity award. In 1972 and 1973 he was also a silver medalist in the standings of the Hungarian national championships.
The greatest success at the adult international level was achieved in the 1973 season, when he joined the main team of the Hungarian national team and thanks to a series of successful performances he was awarded the right to defend the country's honor at the European Championship in Belgrade . In the standings of the first middle weight category, he defeated all his opponents in the tournament bracket, including won 5-0 against the Dutchman Adri Husen in the quarterfinals, won 4-1 of the representative of Yugoslavia Zhivorad Yelisievich at the semifinals, while in the decisive final match with a score of 5 : 0 took over German Manfred Weidner and thereby won a gold medal.
In 1974, he won the Hungarian Championship in the first middleweight, but in the international arena he did not show himself in the future and soon decided to end his sports career. Subsequently, for many years he worked as a boxing trainer.
He died on March 20, 2016 at the age of 65, falling under a train near the village of Monorierdo County Pest [1] [2] .
