Biography
He was engaged in biathlon since 1992 in the club "Lada" (Dimitrovgrad), later played for the sports society " Dynamo " and the city of Ulyanovsk , also represented Udmurtia . Trainers - Yu. A. Zakharov and A. M. Repin.
At the 2000 European Championships in Zakopane, he became the bronze medalist in the relay as part of the Russian team, along with Vladimir Bekhterev , Mikhail Kochkin and Pavel Muslimov , was also 47th in the sprint and 33rd in the pursuit. In 2001, he became the silver medalist of the European Relay Summer Biathlon Championships .
In the 2003/04 season, he took part in the European Cup , showed the best result in the sprint at the stage in Brusson, taking seventh place. In the relay at the stage in Meribel he went up to the podium, taking second place.
At the championship level of Russia, he became the champion of the country in the relay race [1] , the silver medalist in the patrol race (2002 [2] and 2004), the bronze medalist in the sprint and the pursuit (2002). He won the stages of the Cup of Russia [3] . Bronze medalist of the Russian Summer Biathlon Relay Championship (2002 and 2009) [4] .
He completed his sports career in the late 2000s. He works as a trainer at the Youth and Youth Sports School “Neutron” in Dimitrovgrad and an employee of the Federal Penitentiary Service in the Ulyanovsk Region. Participates in competitions among veterans [5] .
Personal life
Wife Tatyana. Three kids. Anastasia, September 5, 2000, Anna, March 20, 2006, and Trofim, October 20, 2015. Both daughters are engaged in biathlon. Anastasia became the winner of the Russian championship among 17-year-olds [6] .
