The album consists of two discs containing the title track, mixed in stereo on a CD and 5.1-channel surround sound on DVD-A . Sometimes a song is divided into two parts, as it is on Equation Records. All sounds were created by recording metal sculptures by Steve Hubback performed by Stephen Wilson and Theo Travis . The record is packaged in a long cover in a slipcase along with a book containing ocean images made by Karl Glover. Each copy also contains an insert in the form of a hand-numbered postcard. Only 975 copies were made, all of which were sold two days after the release. [3] [4]
Five test stampings of the album were made on vinyl LP, each of which consists of two single-sided LPs with simple white markings and without a cover. These stampings were rejected due to poor sound quality. Vinyl LP was never released. [five]
