Boris Ilyich Brunshtein ( 1929 - 1995 , Kostanay , Kazakhstan ) - chief livestock specialist of the Kustanaysky state farm in the Komsomolsky district of the Kustanai region, director of the Komsomolsk duck factory. One of the founders of poultry in the Kustanai region, Kazakh SSR. Hero of Socialist Labor (1966). Honored Veterinarian of the Kazakh SSR.

Biography
Born in 1929 in the territory of modern Chelyabinsk region.
Since 1958, he has been the chief livestock specialist for the Kustanaysky state farm in the Komsomolsky district. He introduced poultry farming at the state farm. In 1964, the state farm had eight branches and three breeding farms, in which there were 50 thousand heads of birds, four thousand pigs and seven thousand heads of cattle. He was engaged in breeding ducks cross "Medeo".
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 22, 1966, he was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal “ Hammer and Sickle ” for the successes achieved in the development of livestock breeding, increased production of meat, milk, eggs, wool and other products.
In 1966 he was appointed the first director of the Komsomolskaya poultry farm, which stood out from the Kustanaysky state farm and became a separate enterprise. The factory, led by Boris Brunshtein, occupied leading positions in poultry farming in the USSR and supplied poultry meat to Kazakhstan and the adjacent regions of the RSFSR.
He died in 1995 in Kostanay.
