Wendsten ( Fr. Windstein ) is a commune in northeastern France in the Grand Est region [1] (formerly Alsace-Champagne-Ardenne-Lorraine ), Lower Rhine department , Agno-Wissembur district , canton Reichshoffen [2] . Until March 2015, the commune was administratively part of the abolished canton of Niederbronn-les-Bains ( Agno district).

In 2010, out of 131 people of working age (from 15 to 64 years old), 91 were economically active , 40 were inactive (activity rate 69.5%, in 1999 - 77.9%). Of the 91 active able-bodied residents, 86 people worked (53 men and 33 women), 5 were unemployed (one man and four women).
