Biography
Born on February 14, 1886 in the village of Lyudinovo, Kaluga province, in the family of an engineer A.M. Endaurov. She studied at the gymnasium in Orel, in 1904 she entered the Higher Stebutov Agricultural Courses in St. Petersburg (now - St. Petersburg State Agrarian University ). In 1907, she visited the North Caucasus, where she met the botanist Nikolai Adolfovich Bush , in 1908 she married him.
Nikolai Adolfovich and Elizaveta Aleksandrovna organized a number of expeditions in the North Caucasus, participated in the organization of the Caucasian herbarium of the Botanical Museum in St. Petersburg.
Since 1910, E. A. Bush participated in the preparation of plant treatments for the creation of "Flora of the Caucasus" and "Flora of Siberia and the Far East" (she wrote sections on the heather , primrose , diapensius families). For " Flora of the USSR " processed several genera of heather.
In 1934, E. A. Bush was awarded the title of Doctor of Biological Sciences without defending a dissertation. In 1940, Elizaveta Alexandrovna became a professor.
In 1936, with the direct participation of the Bushes, the South Ossetian Mountain Meadow Hospital of BIN was founded in the headwaters of Bolshoi Liakhvi .
She died on September 12, 1960 .
