Station Design
Sakhalin Hydroelectric Power Station is a thermal condensing steam turbine power plant. The design installed capacity of the power plant is 120 MW . The thermal circuit of the station is block. It is planned to use brown coal from the Sakhalin deposits (Uglegorsky and Gornozavodsky) as fuel. The main equipment of the station will include two power units with a capacity of 60 MW each, each of which will consist of a K-60-12.8 turbine, a TF-63-2U3 generator and an E-230-13.8-560 KBT boiler unit. The manufacturer of turbines is the Ural Turbine Plant , the generators are the Novosibirsk company ELSIB , and the boilers are PJSC Power Machines . Flue gases will be cleaned using modern electrostatic precipitators and discharged into a chimney with a height of 150 m. The technical water supply system is reverse, using a “dry” cooling tower with a height of 65 m. Electricity and station power will be supplied to the power system through a 220 volt switchgear (switchgear) kV [1] .
Construction History
The first official mention of the Sakhalin State District Power Station-2 is in the 2008 program “Economic and Social Development of the Far East and Transbaikalia for the Period Until 2013”. However, the decision to build the station was made only in December 2011, when, according to the decision of the Government of the Russian Federation “On the transfer to the management of PJSC RusHydro of the State block of shares of PAO RAO Energy Systems of the East , the construction of TPP-2 was transferred to the competence of PJSC RusHydro. RusHydro was reapitalized for a new program for the construction of four thermal stations in the Far East by 50 billion rubles [1] .
The construction site of the new station was chosen 6 km north of the village of Ilyinskoye, Tomarinsky district, Sakhalin Oblast , on the west coast of the island. The power plant is being built on a new site (in green field conditions). The choice of location for the construction of the station was also determined by the proximity to the Ilyinskaya junction substation with a voltage of 220 kV, road and rail, as well as the situation between the existing Sakhalin state district power station and Yuzhno-Sakhalinskaya CHPP-1 [1]
In 2013, PJSC RusHydro established Sakhalin State District Power Station-2 JSC. In 2014, procedures were carried out to select a general contractor, and in January 2015, a general contract was concluded with JSC MEC Mosenergo . The construction of the station began in April 2015. July 11, 2016 completed the construction of the chimney [2] . In the fall of 2016, 1,300 people and 44 pieces of equipment worked at the construction site. The start of the Sakhalin GRES-2 is scheduled for 2019. In the future, if necessary, the power of the station can be increased to 360 MW [1] [3] .
