Biography
He spoke for the first time at a 10-year school running competition and was immediately spotted by Keith Holt, a coach at Birchfield Harriers. At his invitation, Jarrid began to train regularly and soon achieved his first successes [1] . Initially, he specialized in running for 800 meters, but when moving to the junior age, he began to perform at a distance half as long.
In 2011, he won the national championship among athletes under 20 years old, after which he ran 400 meters at the European Junior Championship , where he was able to reach the final and take eighth place there.
Due to a back injury, he almost completely missed 2013. After such a long break, he won the country's student championship and participated in the 2014 European team championship , where the British finished fourth in the 4x400 meter relay race [2] .
In 2015, he showed consistently high results at the competitions. He fled in the semifinals of the European Championship indoors in person and was fifth in the relay. At the European Team Championship, he set a personal record (45.09), which brought him victory in this tournament. Finally, he could not go beyond the preliminary runs of 400 meters at the World Cup , but in the relay he helped the British team win bronze medals.
At the 2016 European Championships, I could not qualify for the top eight in personal form (14th place in the semifinals). In the relay race he performed in the preliminary race, and in the final, where the British took bronze, was replaced.
He was included in the national team for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro [3] , but held them as a substitute and never reached the start.
