Biography

In 1959, he graduated with a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of California at San Jose [1] .

He became the managing director and vice president of Trans International , then created Transportation Consultants, a centralized system for booking tickets for small airlines and passenger ships, as well as hotel rooms, which was part of the First Transport Corporation holding [2] .

March 26, 1979 was elected president of the 1984 Summer Olympics Organizing Committee in Los Angeles. Due to the refusal of the city authorities to participate in the financing of the project, Huberrot managed to attract a sufficient amount of private investment to organize the games. In particular, ABC paid $ 225 million for broadcast rights, and 75 million came from foreign broadcasters. In addition, Huberrot organized subscription campaigns and advertising campaigns, including in connection with the 82-day Olympic torch relay. As a result, the financial result of the Olympic Games was an income of $ 200 million.
