Terek Permanent Police - a militia unit in the Terek region of the Russian Empire . It was established on January 29, 1865 on the basis of the Terek Horse-Irregular Regiment to ensure internal security [1] . According to the end of the 19th century, it consisted of 9 equestrian hundreds; 18 officers and 1026 lower ranks [2] . Equipped with locals at will.
