History

In 1400, Timur began military operations against Bayazid, who captured Erzincan , where Timur's vassal ruled, and against the Egyptian sultan Faraj al-Nasir , whose predecessor, Barkuk , had ordered the death of Ambassador Timur in 1393 . In 1400, Timur took the fortresses of Kemak and Sivas in Asia Minor and Aleppo in Syria , which belonged to the Egyptian sultan, and in 1401 occupied Damascus .

On July 28, 1402, Timur won a major victory over the Ottoman Sultan Bayazid I, defeating him in the battle of Ankara . The sultan himself was captured. As a result of the battle, Timur captured all of Asia Minor, and the defeat of Bayazid led to the collapse of the Ottoman Empire , accompanied by a peasant war and feuds of his sons.

Amir Timur brought with him a punishment of Tatars. Most of them combined in Karabakh. Caratatars were divided into tribal associations of kajars and javanshirs.

The official reason for the forced resettlement was the accusation of treason by the Tatar people of high treason, the Turkmens called them “Yagi Levent” - “hostile warrior”.

The names of the main Javanshir clans are as follows: jaglevend, dedeli, tametli, gejagyozlu, seyyedahmedli, gervend, demirli, seyyidmahmudlu, mollafazilli, kecherli, garaburunlu, begmanlu, sarigjali. [1] .
