History
The Ilmensky farm belonged to the yurt of the stanitsa of the Eterevskoye Ust-Medveditsk District of the Land of the Don Cossacks (from 1870 - the Province of the Don Cossacks ). In 1859, 50 men and 58 women lived on a farm [2] . The population of the farm grew rapidly. According to the census of 1897, 208 men and 201 women lived on the farm, of which literate: 80 men and 6 women [3] .
According to the alphabetical list of populated areas of the Region of the Don Cossacks in 1915, there was farm management in the farm, there were 239 men and 183 women, the allotment was 1,382 tithes [4] .
In 1928, the Ilmensky 2 nd farm was part of the Mikhailovsky District of the Khopersky District (abolished in 1930) of the Lower Volga Territory (since 1934, the Stalingrad Territory ). The farm was the center of the 2nd Ilmensky Village Council [5] . In 1954, the Eterevsky and Ilmensky II village councils were merged into one Eterevsky Village Council, the center of the Eterevskaya village [6] .
In 2012, the farm was included in the composition of the urban district of the town of Mikhailovka [7]
Geography
The farm is located in the steppe, on the northern shore of Lake Ilmen, in the flood plain of the Bear River (2 km from the main riverbed). In the vicinity of the farm - partially fixed sands. There are sand mounds with a height of 2-7 meters. The height of the center of the settlement is about 90 meters above sea level [8] . The soils are southern and floodplain neutral and slightly acid chernozem [9] .
On motor roads, the distance to the administrative center of the rural settlement of the Eterevskoy village is 12 km, to the administrative center of the city district of Mikhaylovka - 19 km, to the regional center of the city of Volgograd - 200 km [10] .
