Biography

Born on October 10, 1934 in the village of Khakurinokhabl, Shovgenovsky district, Adygea Autonomous Region. When the Great Patriotic War began, Aslan's father, Akhmed Meretukov, a collective farm blacksmith, went to the front and did not return. Mother, Sikara Trukhovna, who had not left the collective farm field for forty years, courageously endured all difficulties and tribulations, raised children, two young sons and a daughter.

After graduating from the eight classes of high school, the eighteen-year-old Aslan, together with his peers, remained on the collective farm, worked where strong young hands were needed.

In 1956, Aslan was drafted into the Soviet Army. For four years he regularly served as a soldier, was an excellent student in combat and political training, and earned several thanks from the command.

In 1960, having been discharged from the army, he returned to his native collective farm and worked as a tractor driver.

In! 963 he graduated from the Khan School of Agricultural Mechanization (now Lyceum No. 2) and received the profession of a machine operator with a wide profile. This famous educational institution was graduated by the future Heroes of Socialist Labor Vasily Golovchenko , Yakub Ashinov and Aslan Siyukhov .

In 1965 he headed the mechanized link. In the first year, the link collected from each hectare 32.8 centners of winter wheat, 53 centners of corn, 71 centners of hemp stalk. In 1968, from an area of 161 hectares, the link receives 56.2 centners of wheat per circle, and sugar beets - 401 centners per hectare. Such a crop has never been harvested here.

And in 1969, dust storms did not stop all winter and spring. Hurricane winds dried the earth, plucked and lifted clouds of fertile black soil from it. The link twice reseeded its beet plantations. In that year, machine operators raised 36.6 centners of winter wheat, 24.3 centners of oilseeds of sunflower and 304 centners of sugar beets per hectare. And again, these figures were the highest on the collective farm.

But the most fruitful for the team of machine operators was 1970, the final year of the five-year plan. From each of 170 hectares, the link collected 55.3 centners of winter wheat, from an area of 120 hectares, 31.2 centners of sunflower oil seeds were received per circle, from an area of 80 hectares - 461 centners of sugar beets and corn for silage from an area of 50 hectares - each 450 centners of green mass.

For five years, the mechanized link team without manual labor produced 32.6 thousand centners of winter wheat, about 73 thousand centners of sugar beet and 10 thousand centners of oilseeds of sunflower, tens of thousands of centners of hemp stalk and silage. And in his link the cheapest at the cost of production on the collective farm.

In 1970, on the DT-75 tractor, he worked out 1409 hectares of soft arable land, and from the fixed hopper he delivered 7277 centners of grain. For the year, he saved about 3 thousand kilograms of diesel fuel and spare parts by almost 500 rubles.

Great innovator. Only in recent years, he has made 6 rational proposals. So, at his suggestion, an eight-row corn seeder was converted into a ten-row seeder for sowing corn on a silo. This allowed to increase the yield of green mass by 25 percent. Introduced into production a chainless aggregation system of three seeders. On the job in 1970, he graduated from high school.

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of April 8, 1971, for outstanding achievements in fulfilling the tasks of the eighth five-year plan and for his great contribution to improving production efficiency and product quality, A. A. Meretukov was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal " Hammer and Sickle " .

He was also awarded the Order of the October Revolution , the medal "For Valiant Labor. In commemoration of the centenary of the birth of V. I. Lenin. "

He was elected a deputy of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR [1] , the Krasnodar Territory Council of People's Deputies. He was a member of the Shovgenovsky district committee of the CPSU, a deputy of the district Council of People’s Deputies.

Died December 17, 2004 in the village of Khakurinokhabl, Shovgenovsky district
