History
Originally known as the village of Orlovskaya . Date of establishment not established. The village was first marked on the big map of the Russian Empire in 1812 [2] . The village of Orlovskaya belonged to the Ust-Medveditsky district of the Earth of the Don Army (from 1870 - the Region of the Don Army ). In 1859, 783 men and 830 women lived in the village, there was a church [3] . By 1873, the Oryol yurt was disbanded. The settlement was included in the yurt of the village of Sergievskaya [4]
According to the census of 1897, 933 men and 943 women lived in the Orlovsky hamlet of the village of Sergievskaya, of whom literate: 301 men and 34 women [5] .
According to the alphabetical list of the populated areas of the Don Don Army Area of 1915, the farmhouse had a farm board, a church, a public school, a parish school , a brick factory, 1,007 men and 1,026 women lived, the land allotment was 12,284 tithes . The village was served by the Sennovsky Post and Telegraph Office [6] .
In 1928, the farm was included in the Berezovsky district of the Khopersky district (abolished in 1930) of the Lower Volga region (since 1934 - the Stalingrad region ) [7] . In 1935, the Oryol Village Council was transferred to the Komsomolsky District of the Stalingrad Territory (since 1936 - the Stalingrad Region). On the basis of the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR of June 18, 1954 No. 774/83 "On the Association of Village Councils of the Stalingrad Region" and the decision of the regional executive committee of June 24, 1954 No. 15/801, the executive committee of the regional council decided to combine the Sennovsky, Oryol and Bashkir village councils into one Sennovsky village council, center Sennoy farm, with the inclusion of the following settlements in the Sennovsky village council - Sennoy farm, Oryly, Pudovsky, the village of Bashkirka. In 1959, the Komsomolsky district was abolished, and its territory was transferred to the Danilovsky district of the Stalingrad region [8] . By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR of February 1, 1963 and on the basis of the decision of the Volgograd Oblast Executive Committee of February 7, 1963 No. 3/55 “On the consolidation of rural areas and changing the subordination of districts and cities of the Volgograd Region,” the Sennovsky Village Council of the former Danilovsky District was included in the Mikhailovsky District [9] .
In 2012, the Oryol farm was included in the urban district of the city of Mikhailovka [10]
Geography
The farm is located in the steppe, in the east of the urban district, the city of Mikhailovka, on the right bank of the Medveditsa River . The terrain is flat, almost flat, has a slight bias towards the river. To the southwest and east are floodplain forests . Some areas of the area are swampy. The height of the center of the village is about 85 meters above sea level [11] . Soils are floodplain neutral and slightly acidic [12] .

By road, the distance to the administrative center of the urban district of the city of Mikhailovka is 50 km, to the regional center of the city of Volgograd - 240 km [13] .
Nearest settlements (straight line distances): the village of Sergievskaya is located 4.5 km to the northeast, the Sennoy farm is 8.2 km to the north-west, the Zapolyansky farm is located 5 km to the east side of the Medveditsa, 5 , 2 to the west - farm strife , [11] .
