Umai Salim kizi Azimova ( azerb. Hümay Əzimova ) is an Azerbaijani carpet weaver.

Biography
Umai Salim kizi was born in 1898 in the village of Jebrail district [1] . Her father, Salim-aga Aly-aga oglu Muhammedbekov, was a noble mulkadar and, together with his brother Murtuza-aga, had lands. Her mother, Gulkhanym Khanum Karbalayi Salman-bek kyzy Kerimbeyova, was a housewife, owned the secrets of traditional medicine and skillfully used medicinal plants in the treatment of some diseases.
Umai Khanum lived and worked in the village of Ashagi Yaglevend, Fizuli region of Azerbaijan ). The Bahmanli carpet woven by her was awarded a gold medal, and she herself was awarded the Order. She was the chairman of the Karabakhhalcha art cooperative on hand carpets. The presence of an experimental art laboratory under management made it possible to constantly work on the creation of new ornaments and the revival of those that were on the verge of extinction.
She married Surkhay Rza Kuli oglu Azimova. The couple had 5 children: sons Genghis, Jahangir, Isa and daughters Chichek and Tutu.
Umai Azimova died on January 28, 1940 in Ashagi Yaglevend .
