Found in southern Europe : Greece (Varnous Mts., Mt. Verno, Flórina), Republic of Macedonia (Baba Mts., Galičica Mts.) [1] .
Description
The adult beetle has a length of 14 mm and a width of about 5 mm. It differs in elytra with subparallel sides and clear grooves extending from the base to the apex. The main body color is brown. The species name ( etoliensis ) comes from the place of discovery of the type series (Etolia). Similar to Dima macedonica Schimmel, 1993 . The species was first described in 2012 by Italian coleopterologist J. Plius ( Giuseppe Platia ), and its valid status was confirmed during an audit conducted in 2017 by entomologists from the Czech Republic ( Josef Mertlik, Robin Kundrata ) and Hungary ( Tamás Németh ) [1] [ 2] .
