Distribution
Found in southern Europe : Greece (Voras Mts., Kajmakčalan, up to 2200 m) [1] .
Description
The adult beetle has a length of 9.5 to 13 mm and a width of about 5 mm. The body is suboval. Pronotum with rough puncture (intervals brilliant) with short pubescence on the sides. The main body color is brown. The species was first described in 2008 by the German coleopterologist R. Schimmel and his Italian colleague J. Plius ( Giuseppe Platia ), and his valid status was confirmed during an audit conducted in 2017 by Czech entomologists ( Josef Mertlik, Robin Kundrata ) and Hungary ( Tamás Németh ) [1] [2] .
