Career
Lennart Samuelsson began his career at the Elfsborg Club in 1940. Since 1947, he played for the main team, making his debut on October 26 in a match with Malmö [2] . In 1950, he moved to the French “ Nice ” for a year, but after spending only 9 matches for the club, due to a serious injury - a broken leg [3] , he returned to Elfsborg, where he played until 1959. In total, the football player spent 224 matches for this club [2] , including 126 matches in the Swedish championship , and scored 2 goals [1] .
As part of the Swedish national team, Samuelsson made his debut on June 8, 1950 in a match with the Netherlands [4] . In the same year, he went with the national team to the World Cup , where he spent all 5 matches. Two years later, he went to the Olympic Games , where he also spent all 4 games. In total, Lennart played 36 matches for the national team, and the footballer spent two matches for the second national team of Sweden.
After completing his playing career, Samuelsson worked as a coach. He coached Lulea [5] , Örebro and twice became the head coach of Brahe . After that, he got a job in the municipality of Burlange, consulting on tourism in the region and outdoor activities [3] .
