Lone ( Latvian: Lone ) is a settlement in the Viesita region of Latvia . The administrative center of Sauk volost . It is located at the regional highway P75 ( Jekabpils - Lithuanian border). The distance to Jekabpils is about 45 km [1] . According to data for 2016, 228 people lived in the village [2] .

History
In Soviet times, the village was the center of the Lonsky Village Council of Jekabpils District . In the village was the central estate of the Lone state farm [1] .
