Description
Created by Resolution of the Council of Ministers of Chechen-Ingushetia in 1973 No. 720 for the conservation and restoration of rare and endangered species of plants and animals, including valuable species in economic, scientific, cultural relations. Of the total area of 48 thousand ha, dry stormy steppes are occupied, 3500 ha - forest crops and fields, 500 ha - lakes and swamps [1] . On the territory of the reserve 50 species of mammals and 150 species of birds live [2] .
