Spungeni ( Spungeny ; Latvian. Spuņģēni ) is a town in the Krustpils region of Latvia . The administrative center of Krustpils parish . Located on the A6 . Jēkabpils town is about 2.2 km away. According to data for 2016, 207 people lived in the settlement [1] .

History
In Soviet times, the town was the center of the Krustpils Village Council of the Jekabpils District . The central estate of the Lenin Karogs collective farm was located in the village [2] .
