History
The company was founded by Eagle Larsen in Vermont to sell the Nethercutt Trail-Breaker, a two-wheel drive motorcycle invented in 1958 by Charlie Fen. In 1964, Rokon Inc. bought the rights to manufacture Trail-Breaker and moved to New Hampshire, where it continues its business until now.
Design
All Rokon models are equipped with all-wheel drive on both wheels. A central pipe is laid through the all-terrain vehicle frame, in which there is a shaft, from which rotation is transmitted to the front-wheel drive gearbox through the cardan, from it - by a chain to the wheel. Rear-wheel drive is implemented classically: from the gearbox, the moment is transmitted by the chain to the rear wheel.
Kohler motors are used, with a displacement of 208 cm³ and a power of 7-9 hp.
Some models have hollow rims that can be used as cans for fuel, water or other liquids. Empty discs provide positive buoyancy for the entire structure.
