Childhood and Youth

World War II

Captain E.V. Korshunov has been a participant in the Great Patriotic War since July 1941. The division as part of the 28th , 43rd , 50th armies of the Western and Bryansk fronts participated in the Smolensk defensive battle .

In October 1941 he was sent to study at the Academy of the General Staff of the Red Army , but on November 8 he was recalled and appointed chief of staff of the 77th separate naval rifle naval brigade , from which he arrived on the Karelian Front in January 1942 both in the 14th and 19th th armies fought under Kandalaksha . Since July 1963 - First Deputy Commander of the Baku Air Defense District.

Since May 26, 1964 - Head of the Military Command Academy of Air Defense ( Kalinin ). Since July 1966 - at the disposal of the Minister of Defense of the USSR . Since April 1967 - Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Air Defense Forces of the country for military schools - Head of the universities of the country's Air Defense. Since November 1968 - retired due to illness.

He was buried at the Preobrazhensky cemetery .
