The Pontifical Theological Faculty of Theresian ( Italian: Pontificia facoltà teologica Teresianum ), Theresianum is a papal institute in Rome , founded on July 16, 1935 . The Institute belongs to the Carmelite Order, is engaged in the study of Carmelite spirituality and education of students.

The Theresianum building is located in the western part of Rome, not far from the Basilica of San Pancrazio at Piazza San Pancrazio, 5 / A [1] .
Originally had the status of the Carmelite theological faculty, bore the name of St. Theresa and John the Cross . May 23, 1963 received the status of the papal faculty [2] . The main specialization of the institute was the theology of spiritual life and Carmelite theology, in 1982 the specialization "theological anthropology" was introduced, which in 2005 changed its name to "Christian anthropology" [3] . In 1987, the Institute of Pastoral Theology and Health Protection of Camillianum, which belonged to the Order of the Camillians, was incorporated into Theresianum. The current charter of the institution was approved on April 11, 1988 by the Congregation for Catholic Education [3] .
Theresianum has branches in Italy , France , Cameroon and India [2] . The journal Theresianum is published [4] .
