The list of ants of Ukraine includes all species of ants (family Formicidae , order Hymenoptera ) that live in Ukraine . The list consists of binomens (two-word names consisting of a combination of the genus name and the species name) and the name of the scientist who first described the taxon and the year in which it happened, indicated next to them. Currently, 146 modern species from 39 genera of ants (and several fossils) have been discovered in the fauna of Ukraine. Among the endemic of Ukraine: Chalepoxenus tauricus , Plagiolepis karawajewi , Strongylognathus arnoldii , Strongylognathus chelifer (the first three live only in the Crimea [K 1] , and the last in the Kherson region) [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] .
