Arkhangelskoye is a village , the administrative center of the October rural settlement of the Zalegoshchensky district of the Oryol region of Russia .

Geography
It is located on a flat terrain on both sides of the Orel - Zalegoshch highway, 11 km from the regional center of Zalegoshchi. In the village is the source of the river (stream) Berezovets (a tributary of Neruch ). The Orel- Marmyzhi railway passes through the village.
Title
The village was named after the church in the name of St. Michael the Archangel [2] .
History
As the village is mentioned in 1749 [2] . The peasants were serfs and belonged to the Novosilsky Holy Spirit Monastery . The stone church with a bell tower was built in 1864. The parish consisted of the village itself, the village of Kalganovka and the village: Blagodatnoye (Kotly) and Dalnovidovka (not existing). In 1915, there were 270 peasant households in the village. There were a male zemstvo school and a female parish church [3] [4] .
