Biography
Born in Biala Podlaska. He started playing volleyball while still at school in Lidzbark-Warmiński . While studying at the Higher School of Agriculture in Olsztyn, he studied in the youth section of the local club " Gas Station (Olsztyn) ", which then played in the district league.
In 1960 he was accidentally appointed head coach of the club. After 10 months of work, he was able to bring the club to the nationwide II League. Under the leadership of Dorosh, by the 1970s, the club had become one of the strongest in the country. He won three Polish Cups (1970, 1971, 1972) and three champion titles (1973, 1976, 1978). Also in 1978 he became a finalist of the Cup Winners Cup . He won international tournaments: the Cup on November 17 ( Prague , 1973), the European tournament ( Genk , 1974, 1975), the grass cup (St. Antonius, 1973, 1974, 1975).
In 1973 he coached the Student Team of Poland at the Moscow Universiade , taking 4th place.
From 1979 to 1983, he led the Yugoslav club Mladost (Zagreb) , winning the Balkan Cup (1980) and two Champions of Yugoslavia with him (1981, 1982). In 1983 he returned to work in the structure of the Olshtyn club. In 1986, he again accidentally became the head coach, but could not save the club from relegation to League II in 1987.
In 1987 he returned to Yugoslavia. With the club “ Vojvodina (Novi Sad) ” he won the club’s first gold medals (1988, 1989), and also took 3rd place in the European Champions Cup . In 1989-1991 he worked with the Slovenian club “ Pionir (Nove-Miasto) ”, withdrawing him from League III first in II (1990), and then in I (1991).
Upon returning to Olsztyn, he worked in the club.
Died March 30, 2016.
