History

Date of establishment not established. Farm Leshchev is listed in the list of settlements of the Central Akhtubinsk region as of 1928. In 1935, the Leshchev farm as part of the Repinsky Village Council was transferred to the Krasnoslobodsky District of the Stalingrad Territory (since 1936 - the Stalingrad Region) [2] .

Until 1940, the Leshchev farm was listed in the settlements of the Krasnoslobodsky district [3] . Since 1945, it is listed in the lists of settlements of the Leninsky district (as part of the Pokrovsky village council) [4] . The date of transfer to the Leninsky district has not been established.

Geography

The farm is located within the Volga-Akhtuba floodplain , which is part of the Caspian lowland , about 2.3 km from the left bank of the Volga . The farm is surrounded by floodplain forests and lakes , located at an altitude of about 10 meters below sea level [5] .

By road, the distance to the regional center of Volgograd is 59 km, to the regional center of Leninsk - 43 km, to the administrative center of the rural settlement of the village of Pokrovka - 8.7 km. The nearest village is the Gromki farm in the Svetloyarsky district, located 4 km west of Leshchev [6] .
