Ancene ( Latvian. Ancene ) is a settlement in the Aknist region of Latvia . Included in the Asar volost . It is located about 5 km east of the village of Asare . According to data for 2016, 209 people lived in the village [1] .

History
In Soviet times, the settlement was part of the Asara Village Council of Jekabpils District . The village housed the central estate of the collective farm. K. Marx [2] .
