Big Karachury ( Chuvash. Karachura ) is a village in the Cheboksary district of the Chuvash Republic , the largest settlement in the Lapsar rural settlement . Located between the Ryksha River and the M7 highway , two kilometers west of the railway station Cheboksary-2.

Infrastructure
The village of Great Karachury consists of nine streets and 352 houses.
In October 1914, a village school opened in the village. Since 1993, the school has the status of the main secondary school. A library has been operating in the village since 1979 [3] . In the center of the village there is a monument to the soldiers who fell in the Great Patriotic War . On the territory of the village are also located: TPU "Chuvashskoe", OJSC "Chuvashavtodor", MOU Karachurinskoye secondary school, Municipal educational institution Gardening Association "Niva", shop "Avtozapchasti". Popular places of leisure are the cafe "Forest Fairy Tale" [5] and tavern "21 region".
