Creativity
The author’s first story “On the Wharf” was published by the newspaper “Perm Territory” during the Vyatka exile in 1901. In 1912, A.P. Bibik published the first book of the novel "Towards the wide road", in which, on autobiographical material, it tells about the rallying of revolutionary-minded workers, the formation of the character and worldview of a young hero. The second book is devoted to the same theme - “On a black strip”, which saw the light after the October Revolution in 1921. In 1935, the novel “Towards a Broad Road” was published in Rostov-on-Don; its new edition includes both books. The books of A.P. Bibik contain pictures of pre-revolutionary factory life, the birth of protest in the working environment.
In subsequent years, the novel "To the wide road" was repeatedly reprinted. The first edition of the novel received a very unpleasant response by M. I. Kalinin in the Bolshevik Pravda, who noted both the "uncertain hand of a self-taught writer" and the "crudely-biased" arguments of the author about the events of the era of the revolution of 1905. In 1928-1929, Nedra Publishing House "Released the collected works of A. P. Bibik in 6 volumes. Some of his works have been translated into Ukrainian . In 1955 and 1962, collections of selected works were published, and in 1958 and 1966 - stories and short stories by L.P. Bibik.
The author of the novel “Katrusina Tower” (1930) - about the events of the Civil War in the south of the country, the novel “Klimchuk”, “The End of Filonovka” (1928), “The Tale of the Machine” (1934), “The Golden-Horned Tour” (1936), plays from working life: "Arkhipov", "On the night shift" (1917), "Erion" (1932), "In unknown countries" (1935).
In addition to novels, he wrote a number of short stories. They relate to pre-revolutionary time. Among them, one can note the story "Out of hours", which depicts the mood of a physically-tired worker, and the story "Callous Man", which gives a curious picture of the relationship between the working engineer and the student student. From recent stories published in various collections and magazines, it is necessary to note the “Communion Day” - a picture of the preparation and implementation of the May Day demonstration under the tsarist regime.
