Career
Haven Denny was born in Florida in October 1995. Initially, she was fond of figure skating on roller skates, like her older sister Cady Denny , in the children's competition among couples (with Fraser), she won the US Championship silver medal in 2003 . In 2004, the two of them went to figure skating on ice. Young skaters interrupted their joint performances in 2008 , this was due to the fact that families lived in different states.
Juniors
Haven Danny paired up with Daniel Red and they tried to roll for about three years. In the spring of 2011, Haven and Brandon reunited. [3]
Already in the autumn of the same year, the restored couple made a good debut at the junior stages of the Grand Prix. In January 2012, in San Jose at the US Championship among juniors, they became winners. Two days later, there, her sister Cady won the gold of the American championship for the second time. In March, American skaters performed in Belarus at the Junior World Championships , where they were a little short of a bronze medal. The following season, athletes performed at only one junior stage of the Grand Prix at home and made their debut at the US adult championship, where they were fifth. In February 2013, they performed in Milan at the next junior world championship , where they managed to win gold medals in a difficult fight.
Among adults
In October 2013, the couple began the Olympic season with their debut at the adult competitions in Slovakia at the Nepel Memorial , but they were worried and did not perform very well. However, later they also made their debut in the Grand Prix series in Canada at Skate Canada and the Japanese stage , where they took fifth places. At the national championship in January 2014, they finished again in fifth place. However, given the team’s performance at the XXII Olympic Winter Games , the American Federation sent the second squad to the continental championship in Taipei . So the American skaters made their debut in the continental championship, where they finished fourth.
After the Olympic season, the couple began with the new coach Ingo Stoyer in Italy at the Lombardy Cup , which the skaters confidently won [4] . Then they performed at another stage of the Challenger series in Barry , where they were second [5] . Then continued the performance in the Grand Prix series . A week later they started in Chicago , where they managed to take second place in the most difficult fight at the home stage , while they improved all their previous achievements [6] . Then they played in Moscow at the Rostelecom Cup , here before the bronze medal they did not have enough two hundredths of a point [7] . At the national championship in January 2015 in Greensboro, the skaters finished second [8] . This allowed them to confidently join the national team. In February, the couple performed in the continental championship in Seoul , where they finished in the middle of the tournament table [9] . At the end of March in the PRC, the couple made their debut at the world championship , where they fought a bit unsuccessfully for a place in the top ten. It seemed the season was over, but unexpectedly on April 22, the skater received a terrible injury in training [10] . The whole next season the couple missed.
Return After Injury
Skaters were forced to change their coach, they began to work with a pair of Rockney Brubaker and Stephanie Burton . For the first time in the competition, they appeared in October 2016 in Bratislava at the Nepel Memorial , where they finished fourth. This was followed by their performance in the Grand Prix series . Three weeks later, they started in Chicago, where in the most difficult struggle at the home stage, to the surprise of many, they took second place [11] . However, by the Canadian stage , which took place a week later, they did not have time to relax and looked tired. Here they finished fourth [12] . In early December, they started at the stage of the Challenger series in Zagreb , where they were fourth again [13] . In January 2017, in Kansas, skaters at the national championship confidently for the first time became champions of the country. The current US champions after the short program took fifth place and starred in front of an arbitrary. In mid-February, American skaters performed in the continental championship in South Korea , where they improved their previous achievements in the short program and finished in the middle of the tournament table [14] . At the end of March, American champions performed at the world championships in Helsinki , where they did not start very successfully and did not qualify for the final part.
In September, an American couple started their home Olympic season in Salt Lake City , where they finished next to the podium at the US International Figure Skating Classic tournament [15] .
