Biography
In international starts under the auspices of the FIS he made his debut in the summer of 2006, in 2009 he became part of the German national team, who played in the continental cup.
He made his World Cup debut at the end of 2011 at the Four Hills Tour in Oberstdorf . There, the German qualified and made it to the final round thanks to the duel system (in the duel, he defeated Martin Schmitt , who failed his jump). According to the results of the tournament, he took 30th place, gaining the first point in the World Cup, but did not gain a foothold in the team.
The post-Olympic season 2014/15 was successful for the German jumper. In the debut start of the season, he joined the German national team and together with Richard Freitag , Andreas Wellinger and Zeverin Freund won the first team victory in his career in the World Cup. During the season, Eisenbichler fell into the top ten several times and made his debut at the World Championships , where he was left without medals both in the team (5th place) and in the personal tournament on the big springboard , closing the top ten there. At the end of the season, the German took 15th place in the overall standings.
The 2015/16 season for Eisenbichler was not very successful, he dropped out of the main team of the German national team and played at the World Cup irregularly. But in the 2016/17 season he returned to the highest level. At the third stage in Lillehammer, for the first time in his career, he climbed into the top three in individual competitions, becoming the third. Following the results of two stages of the Four Springboard Tour, he claimed to be in the top three of the tournament, but failed in Innsbruck and became the seventh in the final standings. Also, together with his teammates, he won the second team victory in his career at the stage in Zakopane, Poland.
