The Barrow Group is a non-profit [1] , non -Broadway theater (theater troupe), acting school and art center in New York. It was founded in 1986 by the spouses [2] Lee Brock and Seth Barrish and was originally located in the premises of a large apartment in the area of Barrow Street in New York [3] . The Barrow Group now occupies approximately 10,000 ft² (over 900 m²) in Midtown , which houses two theater halls for 99 and 50 spectators, as well as several training studios [4] . According to the official website of the Group, in the year it holds more than 70 various public performances, including lectures, trainings and theatrical performances [4] .

Although it was not originally planned to conduct acting training at the Barrow Group, now the school’s educational activities are equally important for the team in relation to the work of the theater [5] . The group began to offer master classes in 1990 after several dozen professional (that is, adults!) Actors asked for training inspired by the work of the theater troupe [6] . A few years later, Anne Hathaway was accepted into the school, who became the first and only at that time teenager studying at The Barrow Group [7] . Now the school has children's (7–9 years old), teenage (10–13 years old), youthful (14-17 years old) and adult programs. The total number of students in a year who have received a particular education at school reaches 4200.
The work of the Barrow Group has won many awards. Among them are the Drama Desk Award , the Lucille Lortel Awards, and the Off-Broadway Theater Awards, Obie Award [8] . Among the students appear [9] :
