Biography

Born into a large peasant family, Russian. He graduated from a seven-year school.

In the Red Army since February 1943, in the battles of the Great Patriotic War from June 1943.

October 23-24, 1944, during the offensive on Gros-Trakkenen (East Prussia), he destroyed 2 machine guns and up to 10 Nazis. November 27, 1944 was awarded the Order of Glory 3 degrees.

When Hitler's defense broke through in the Gumbinnen area (now Gusev, Kaliningrad region), on October 13, 1945 he scattered a group of 30 Nazi soldiers, destroying 8 of them. On January 15, 1945, when repulsing an enemy counterattack, he was wounded, refused to be hospitalized, and after the dressing continued to fire. January 31, 1945 he was awarded the Order of Glory 2 degrees.

On March 25-28, 1945, during the battles southwest of Koenigsberg (Kaliningrad), the mortars destroyed 6 machine guns, 3 vehicles, and exterminated more than 20 infantrymen. June 27, 1945 was awarded the Order of Glory 1 degree.

He participated in the battle for Berlin. In battles he was wounded three times.

After the end of World War II, he served in the Belarusian Military District . Member of the CPSU (b) since 1946.

Demobilized in 1950. He lived in Moscow, until the 1990s he worked in the fire department of the Likhachev Moscow Automobile Plant.

Participant of the Victory Parades in 1985 and 1995.

He was buried in the native village of Brooks.
