Biography

Amir Murad-yuzbashi, the son of Seyyed-ag Javanshir, came from Oymak (a branch of the tribe [1] ) of Yaglavend. [2] ; [3] .

Amir Murad-yuzbashi “faithfully” served the Russian sovereign and for this in 1827 received a gold medal. In the first rank - ensigns was made in 1828 , and in the lieutenant - on August 31, 1831 . In contrast to the cases against Persia on June 29, 1828 , Paskevich July 2, 1828 compiled a list of submitted for awards. Amir Murad-yuzbashi was included in this list.

He and his squad penetrated to Aslanduz . Having taken a lot of prisoners and booty, they set off on the return trip.

A. Chingizoglu writes: “Amir Murad-yuzbashi, by the highest order, joined the Javanshir elders and went to Karadag . After resting a few days, he went with the Jevanshir troops to the war against Kyzylbash and, attacking the surroundings of Kurdasht, one of the Karadag fortresses.

At this time, Amir Murad-yuzbashi heard that Abbas-Mirza had allegedly sent countless, well-armed troops under the command of Bagir-khana against the Jevanshirs, and he himself allegedly followed after him to Karadag. Amir Murad-yuzbashi, having heard this terrible news, was afraid and sent a man to Paskevich asking for help.

When the said khan approached Kurdasht with a detachment, he didn’t find anyone there and, turning back, attacked a group of Shahseven tribe shepherds living on the banks of the Araks . These shepherds moved far from their tribe in search of a good pasture for sheep. " [4]

At the end of June 1826, Iranian forces broke into the Javanshir-Dizak Magal , having ravaged the villages, took a large number of cattle from both local residents and Jevanshirs from nomads. In defense of the inhabitants of Djevanshir-Dizak Magal and Djevanshirs, horse detachments of Djevanshir and Dizak Azerbaijanis came under the command of Amir Murad-yuzbashi and Hasan-Sultan of Dizak.

During the Russo-Iranian war, he repeatedly obtained valuable information about the size, intentions and actions of the enemy and delivered them to the headquarters of the Russian troops. During the battles for Karabakh, Amir Murad-yuzbashi sent a resident of Dialagard, Muradkhan, “who destroyed the ferries to Baba”, which forced the enemy to lose time on the construction of a new crossing at Aslanduz. Amir Murad-Yuzbashi, who went to reconnaissance behind the lines of the Iranian troops, gathered and delivered a lot of valuable information to the Russian command. So, he delivered interesting data on the intentions, forces, means, location and direction of the troops of Abbas-Mirza and his brother Ali-shah-Mirza September 22-23, 1826. September 22, 1826 Amir Murad-Yuzbashi informed the Russian command about that Abbas Mirza with an army of up to 10 thousand infantry and cavalry arrived in Khanbagi, connected with the 10-thousandth detachment of his brother and camped. On September 23, Amir Murad-Yuzbashi reported to the Russian headquarters that Abbas-Mirza wants to go to Ahar .

Amir Murad-Yuzbashi died in 1872 .
