Jaya Krishna (d. March 29, 2016 , Hyderabad ) is an Indian film producer who shot mostly films in Telugu .

He began his career in cinema, working as a make-up artist, including with such actors as and Vijayashanti . And in the late 1970s, he began producing films. Among his paintings, the most famous, which have become super-hits of hire, are Manavoori Pandavulu (1978), Mantrigari Viyyankudu (1983), Vivaha Bhojanambu (1988) [1] [2] . As the producer of the first of these, he was awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Telugu Film [3] . In his film, Punadhirallu (1979) was the first to be signed by the future Telugu movie star Chiranjivi , receiving 1116 rupees for it, but another film with his participation, Manavoori Pandavulu , was previously released on the screens. [4] In total, Jayakrishna produced 15 films, also purchasing and releasing 22 tapes from other states dubbed in Telugu. As a result, having taken up the rental of the Abhay film in 2000, bought for 48 lakhs (4.8 million rupees), he suffered heavy losses and left the cinema [5] . In 2012, Jayakrishna announced his intention to return with the film Oka Tara , but he was never put into production [1] .
